The weather is heating up. If you get the chance, Toronto, get outside today and wander about, soak in the sun, enjoy the mild temperatures and augment your Vitamin D stores. It’s a good way to wake yourself up after the spring forward we endured overnight!

In the same way, poetry is heating up in town, as we move into a very heavy period for spoken word and poetry slam in the Greater Toronto Area. The next six weeks is a very important time as the Toronto Poetry Slam holds their slam-offs to form their team for the National Poetry Slam and the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word, a number of special events take place and the regularly-running shows keep the words flowing all across the region.
